Aliaksandr Barankov Goes Free

The Belarusian citizen, Aliaksandr Barankov, a refugee in Ecuador, today greeted as he left the Social Rehabilitation Center N°. 4 of Quito

The extradition request from Belarus for Aliaksandr Barankov, was refuted by the Ecuadorian courts yesterday. The Belarusian was released this afternoon.

Barankov, who was at the Social Rehabilitation Center N°. 4 of Quito, was received by national and international media who were waiting for the release of the Belarusian former officer.

The Ministry of Justice published on its Twitter account that Barankov is in good health, and that while he was in jail, “his rights were respected“. (MZ)
