Executive Secretary of AP, Galo Mora, said that he is going request the Correa’s reelection.

Galo Mora, Executive Secretary of Alianza PAIS (AP), said that the ruling movement will request Rafael Correa‘s reelection for President of the Republic.

AP movement’s bases have had 26 conventions nationwide and abroad, and in those conventions, Correa has been acclaimed for the charge. Therefore, Mora said that, at the national meeting of next September 24, he is going request the Correa’s reelection.

Mora said that Correa will accept his reelection only if PAIS sends an official request and the decision on family council.

The charge of vice presidency of the country remains indefinite since the current vice president, Lenin Moreno, has declined his posible reelection over possible health issues.

Mora says that if Moreno does not accept a reelection, then PAIS would proceed to elect another candidate within its ranks.

Although he refused to give names of any candidates, he said that there are many women and men of proven honesty and loyalty that could be candidates for that office. (MZ)
