Alianza PAIS prepares its binomial and candidates

Former soccer player and Current Sports Minister, Jose Francisco Cevallos is rumored to be Correa’s binomial for the elecctions of 2013.
President Rafael Correa has yet to announce who will accompany him as binomial for elections in February 2013, but vowed that next Saturday November 10, from 10:00 am, he will reveal nominations.
Alianza PAIS managers met at Carondelet Palace to discuss the convention of next Saturday in which the candidates for vice president, national and provincial assembly and Andean Parliament will be proclaimed.
The meeting was attended by Mayor of Quito, Augusto Barrera, prefect of Pichincha, Gustavo Baroja, chairman of the IESS, Ramiro Gonzalez, and Minister of Politics, Soledad Buendia.
According to rumors within the ruling party, it is being discussed the possible candidacies for vice presidency of National Secretary of Planning, Fander Falconi, prefect Gustavo Baroja and sport minister, Jose Francisco Cevallos. (MZ)
