Alianza PAIS will define topics for the amendment

Posted On 16 Jun 2014

On next Thursday, June 19, the assembly members of the ruling movement Alianza PAIS (AP), will meet to define the issues to be included in the proposed amendment to the Constitution, which they plan to forward it as soon as possible to the Constitutional Court (CC) for its review.

Although she did not anticipate how many changes will arise, Assemblywoman from AP Paola Pabon, said that until last Saturday they only knew the proposed indefinite reelection and the reduction of age limit from 35 to 32 years, for the President office, but there will be more issues, she admitted.

“We are open to receive feedback from the Executive, from the political organization, but the responsibility lies with the bench of Alianza PAIS,” said Pabon.
