A suspected leader of the FARC guerrilla, of Colombian nationality, was captured in the Ecuadorian province of Sucumbios, bordering with that country, local Interior Minister Jose Serrano reported.
“Leader of the Front 48, of the Farc, was detained with grenades and firearms in Sucumbíos,” Serrano wrote in his account of the social network Twitter.
In a photograph posted on the same social network, the man was identified as Pablo Emilio Auseno Burgos, alias ‘Pate Bamba.’
According to the authorities, Auseno worked as head of logistics and finance of the Front 48 of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC for its Spanish acronym). (I)
