Economic crisis and Banco del Sur, on the agenda of the CELAC

The fourth summit of leaders of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which will be held on Wednesday, commenced with the meeting of national coordinators. Tomorrow, however, foreign ministers will assemble.
The encounter of coordinators will be held today in the premises of the Foreign Ministry. The meeting, in which the debate of various issues and the preparation of the details of the proposed agenda for the meeting were scheduled, there was no media access, as reported by this State secretariat.
The debates at the summit would focus on issues such as development and the fight against poverty, the reduction of inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean and the economic integration. The revision of the regional financial architecture, of Banco del Sur and the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR for its Spanish acronym) would also be scheduled. There will also be a space to address the immigration crisis and issues such as the fight against corruption, climate change, food security and the fight against terrorism, according to Venezuelan media.
Tomorrow, from 09:00, it is planned the IX meeting of foreign ministers of the CELAC. “We will review everything advanced by national coordinators and we will define the agenda for the day of the summit, in regard to the political declaration, the action plan of the _ CELAC 2016 and special statements,” announced Friday Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino.
