“Ecuadorians, today, July 20, 2020, I have accepted the candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic by the Adelante Ecuatoriano Adelante party. Glory to God! Long live Ecuador! ”He said in a 26-second video.
The five-time presidential candidate advanced his announcement that was planned for July 28.
In days past, he said he would seek to organize a front to participate in the elections. “I want to tell you right away that if that union wants me to lead it, welcome it. If Ecuador wants another to lead this union, I also accept. Because I am not looking for something for myself, but I am looking for the best for the nation, ”he said. (I)
