Alvaro Noboa Announces his Presidential Candidacy
Alvaro Noboa, founding president of PRIAN political party, announced today his candidature for the Ecuadorian 2013 presidential election. In press conference, Alvaro Noboa introduced the PRIAN members that will support him on his electoral campaign.
Luis Morales, Anabella Azin, Lenin Chica, Luis Noboa Icaza, Roberto Ponce Noboa are the main members of PRIAN for the upcoming elections.
Alvaro Noboa complained about the political persecution that the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa uses to detain him from being his political opponent.
“They will continue to use the IRS to bankrupt Exportadora Bananera Noboa and stop the company from defending itself in a Court of Law, as in the past. They will continue to exert 100% control over all Electoral Tribunals. They will continue to terrorize the media as well. They will prevent all organized political activity, whatsoever from registration and therefore reduce Ecuador to elections similar to those in Cuba, Syria and North Korea. In these countries the only sure winner is the head of state and fake dummies are made to run so as to refer to this farcical show as elections.”
Noboa said his struggle is meaningful for the people of Ecuador because it focuses on fighting poverty and bringing international investment to the country.
Alvaro Noboa said his speech will be sent to the UN secretary general, the OAS secretary general and all the presidents of the world. (AV)
SPEECH BY ALVARO NOBOA
The Prian political party, listed at #7, together with thousands of independent Ecuadorians have asked me to run for president in the upcoming elections. I will, therefore, throw my hat in the ring, and run for constitutional president of Ecuador.
My candidacy is meaningful to Ecuadorians who believe in a new Ecuador with specialized education and for those who want freedom of thought and freedom of speech in a free enterprise system which will attract foreign investment to Ecuador in such a way that everyone can reap the benefits of added wealth.
I have, in the past, already won a first round of elections at the ballot box over Correa in 2006.
I must, however, forewarn Ecuador and the world that an all-out persecution against me will intensify so that I won’t run in the coming elections. As his popularity decreases our head of state wants no significant contenders in the way to yet another term in office.
They will continue to use the IRS to bankrupt Exportadora Bananera Noboa and stop the company from defending itself in a Court of Law, as in the past. They will continue to exert 100% control over all Electoral Tribunals. They will continue to terrorize the media as well. They will prevent all organized political activity, whatsoever from registration and therefore reduce Ecuador to elections similar to those in Cuba, Syria and North Korea. In these countries the only sure winner is the head of state and fake dummies are made to run so as to refer to this farcical show as elections.
Fear not Ecuadorians, as I do not. No evil can endure 100 years, nor are there people who can forever live in submissive poverty. Ecuador is backward and poor, we must retrieve the nation and lead the way to wealth and that modern standard of living enjoyed by the best countries in the world insofar as employment, education, health, social security, public safety as in all fields. Onward Ecuadorians.
A mighty struggle and a brilliant future are all ahead.
Onward Ecuador onward.
