In the first statement made by Alvaro Noboa, the Prian presidential candidate, made after the unofficial results were known, set Rafael Correa as the winner, he refused to recognize this results, by saying that the data was received by the poll agency Ecuasondeas, gave Correa a 38% and he has de 14% which means “that there would be a second round”.
However he said that if the urns are opened and ratified Correa’s victory, he will be willing to accept it. In the beginning his questioning was to Cedatos because he said, is a company that “has a history of mistakes.”
Anyway, Noboa asked the National Electoral Council to open the polls “with actual votes” to know the decision of the voters.
Finally he did not denied the possibility of opting for a new presidential candidature the sixth. “As long as the head of state does not take Ecuador out of poverty, I will continue to work politically,” he said.
