Alvaro Noboa: “I will make any sacrifice for a single candidate”

During an interview with Radio Atalaya, businessman and political leader Alvaro Noboa said he is willing to sacrifice anything for a single candidacy.

Noboa said he was prepared to run in the primaries, and revealed he has been talking to Guillermo Lasso and Lucio Gutierrez in order to achieve a political alliance to appoint a single candidate for the opposition, which was his initiative to defeat Rafael Correa. Moreover, the leader of the political party PRIAN said that a single list for the Assembly should be created.

“I believe that the person who has sacrificed the most in political life is me, I have set aside everything with the purpose of finding unity. I am willing to find a solution and make any other sacrifice for a unique candidacy (…)”

Noboa also ratified he’s still being politically persecuted by Rafael Correa’s Government through Carlos Marx Carrasco, director of SRI. He clarified that they are still trying to collect a gloss of $98 million in tax revenue for the financial year of 2005, besides the illegal seizing of his assets and the banning on leaving the country.

This complaint has already been addressed to the United Nations, the Organization of American States (OAS), Presidents of several countries and top communication media around the world.
