Alvaro Noboa in Favor of the 2010 Population and Housing Census
Ab. Alvaro Noboa was counted at 12h30 on Sunday November 28th. Andy Coello, was the chosen senior high school student who went to Ab. Noboa’s residence to ask him and his family the 2010 Census questions.
After the entrepeneur, his wife Anabela and his two sons John-Sebastian, 19, and Santiago, 10, answered the questionnaire; Noboa expressed his opinion regarding the 2010 census. “I’m happy to contribute and I’m totally in favor of this census,” said the attorney with a smile on his face.
As a businessman, Noboa, said it is very important to have updated statistics “agro industrial importing is our business and I think that is the vocation of this country. Agro industrial export, mining, fishing and the tourism areas are the vocation of our country. If we discover that most of the people are earning a living by doing one of these activities, we’re doing great,” he said.
“When you do something and you do it well, that does not only bring you personal satisfaction but also originates a better production. The vocations of the country are agro industrial importing and mining industry along with tourism and fishing. We would generate more and more wealth not only for Ecuadorians in general, which is very important, but also for the municipality, the government, and for everyone,”he said.
“One of my main ambitions is to generate a change so that this country becomes a first world country. Generating this change requires great effort throughout the country. This means that a large excess of bureaucracy would have to become farmers in agricultural industry, exporters, artisans, tour operators, fishing operators but, sometimes difficulties arise due topolitical resistance,” said Noboa. The entrepreneur also commented the previous census data was not used properly.
Noboa said he felt happy to hear questions devoted to social matters (health, social security). “When we talk about production I have always believed I’m a right liberal man and when it is about giving health, education, and housing I am a left man because in my personal opinion the left have better methods to carry out social service,” Ab. Noboa concluded.
