Ambato entrepreneur receives award for research on security technologies in Canada
Ecuadornews:
The high cost of access control security software used by Juan Fernando Yépez, an ambitious entrepreneur, motivated him to study on how to create an affordable, economical and faster system.
Two years ago he came to Canada to study a master’s degree in electronics and computer science, whose thesis is based on his idea of registration of vehicle plates, a research that also allowed him to win the Scientific Innovation Award from the University of Saskatchewan.
Yépez explains that his software performs a scanning of vehicle plates because the system proposed by Yépez can lower costs from control devices such as cell phones, or raspberrypi´s (a mini computer for programmers).
The young entrepreneur, 34, was also contacted by local media to report his research and publicize his software.
