Annabela Azin, Alvaro Noboa’s wife, in an interview with Expreso Newspaper, said her husband is the one who would go on ballot, with the leader of the Partido Sociedad Patriotica (PSP), Lucio Gutierrez, referring to statements from Gilmar Gutierrez saying that she would be Lucio’s pairing.

Although PRIAN leader has announced that talks with Gutierrez were advanced, Azin said “the lawyer Noboa spoke with Colonel Gutierrez, but has not yet reached any definition, there is no agreement.”

Azin also mentioned that her husband has no limitation to be a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic and that does not have a trial or final judgment.

Meanwhile, Álvaro Noboa (currently abroad) announced his return to Ecuador on October 23 to participate in the primaries of his party and register his candidacy in the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) as soon as a candidate is appointed. (MZ)
