Increment of Human Development Bonus will Begin in January

Yesterday the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa, stated that the legal reform that would allow the Central Government use at least $ 200 million of the bank utilities to finance the increase of the Human Development Bonus, from $ 35 to $ 50, which will be known next Saturday.

The reform of four pages will be sent to the Assembly as a priority, after the announcement of Correa, who confirmed that the decision was already made, and that the raise will begin in January 2013.

The president insisted that the $ 200 million that will come from the utilities of the banks will be helpful to cover a large part of the $ 323 million that the bonus implies, which will be used to help around one million eight hundred thousand people without resources. AV
