Antidrug police operation in Cerro Las Cabras neighborhood, with specialized units

Posted On 25 Jan 2016

More than 554 police agents of specialized police units raided last weekend the Cerro de las Cabras neighborhood, in Duran. This constitutes the third integral intervention against micro drug trafficking, conducted in sectors across the country.

The results of the operation were detailed yesterday by Interior Minister Jose Serrano, in a press conference. He was accompanied by Rodrigo Suarez, head of the Antidrug Technical Secretariat; Governor of Guayas Julio Cesar Quinonez; Mayor Duran Alexandra Arce; and police authorities.

The minister said that students from five surrounding schools were affected by the sale of drugs, especially of the commonly drug known as H.

Children, pregnant women and elderly people were involved in the sale of prohibited substances, Serrano said.
