Posted On 29 Apr 2014
The political movement, Alianza País, expects to be sufficiently strong to deal with the presidential and assemblymen campaign in 2017. On Thursday, May 1st, in Esmeraldas, during its fourth National Convention, the party will begin to work towards the objective.
On this occasion, the more than one million adherents will be represented by more than 1,400 delegates, who will come from all the provinces and willconvey a specific degree of representation.
The difference from other conventions is that all the authorities who were elected as prefects, mayors, Councillors and members of parish committees will participate.
The electoral process from February 23 will be assessed. An organic restructuring will be done. The replacement of the Executive Secretary, Galo Mora, will be appointed. At this point, Doris Soliz has been unofficially mentioned as the successor.
PAIS shall not alter the Provincial Directorates, because this will just happen on September. The conclusions adopted at the Convention of Emeraldas, presided over by President Rafael Correa, will be socialized in each province.
