Argelia Weather Leaves Thirteen Dead
Posted On 03 Feb 2011
In the last two days the extreme rains and strong winds that have assailed 21 provinces of Argelia have killed 13 people and 13 others injured because of traffic accidents.
Three from the 13 mortal victims were a woman of 35 years and her two sons of 2 and 8 years. They perished when a river over flooded their home at the locality of Ued Zenati in the Batna province; a sector where the heavy rains forced the evacuation of their inhabitants.
The Algerian civil protection informed that for the last 48 hours their rescue teams have evacuated over 7,500 help requests.
