Argentina meets again with creditors without reaching an agreement
Posted On 25 Jul 2014
Representatives of Argentina and holders of the defaulted government debt met yesterday in New York with attorney Daniel Pollack, the court-appointed mediator to reach an agreement that will prevent Argentina defaulting from next week.
“The issues that separate the parties remain unresolved”, Pollack said. He also admitted that the time for the default is short.
Members of the Argentinean delegation after the meeting with the mediator did not give statements. Judge Thomas Griesa on Tuesday ordered both sides to meet with Pollack continuously to reach a consensus.
