Argentina suffered against Switzerland but qualified for quarterfinals

Today Argentina defeated Switzerland and qualified to the quarterfinals thanks to a late goal by Angel Di Maria scored at the 118th minute of the second overtime.

Di María defined with a diagonal shot after receiving a pass from Messi, who received the ball in the three-quarter field, stopped on the way to a Swiss defender, enabling his partner to score.

But the Swiss did not give up and almost equalized the match when Blerim Dzemaili slammed a head shot off the post in the Argentina goal and in rebound, the ball left the field with a knee blow of the same player.

Argentina will face in the quarterfinals the winner between U.S. and Belgium.
