Argentina will host Syrian refugees
Argentina will facilitate the granting of a humanitarian visa to host for a period of two years, citizens of Syria and neighboring countries fleeing from the armed conflict, according to an arrangement published yesterday by an Official Gazette.
Argentines who wish to join this program must submit an invitation letter “based on the kinship or affectivity link with nationals or residents” to act as “callers” and in that way commit to provide accommodation and maintenance, noted the Official Release.
Those wishing to enter the program should not have fought in the armed conflict and must not have a criminal records.
Argentina adds with this measure to other countries that already receive Syrian refugees like Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil and Uruguay.
