Argentinian Delegation travels to New York to deal with debt
An Argentinian delegation will meet today for the first time in New York with attorney Daniel Pollack, designated as mediator by Judge Thomas Griesa in the conflict of the vulture funds, which litigated against Argentina and obtained favorable rulings.
“The Argentinian delegation which will meet tomorrow (today) with the mediator appointed by the judge Grisea, Mr. Daniel Pollack, will be headed by the Minister of Economy Axel Kicillof”, informed the Ministry of economy in a statement released yesterday.
At first, the committee who was traveling yesterday to the U.S. was going to be composed only by the Secretaries of Finance, Pablo López, and Legal and Administrative of the Ministry of Economy, Federico Thea along with the deputy Treasury Attorney Javier Pargament.
But last night, the Ministry of Economy issued a statement in which he announced that finally Kicillof himself will lead the Argentinian delegation.
