ASAMBLEA-ECUADORTIMES-ECUADORNEWS

During the first four months of 2016 as in the previous three years (2013-2015), assembly members of the ruling bloc, the Alianza Pais (AP) assemblymen are in the first places of work absenteeism at the plenary sessions of the Assembly.

According to the records of the Legislative Secretariat, Esperanza G. has not attended any of the 27 sessions that have taken place until April 26, 2016. She was sentenced to three years imprisonment by the Criminal Court of the National Court of Justice and her lawyer Ramiro Roman, filed an appeal that is still pending.

The next person in the ranking is Lautaro Saenz with 25 absences, ie he only attended two meetings. This Assemblyman of Alianza Pais also appears in the second place with more absences during the legislative session of 2015 with 57 absences out of a total of 80. A year ago, in 2014, he was in eighth place (he attended 31 sessions out of 64).

The third on the list is: Jose Zapata, transport leader and legislator for Los Rios province, since he has only attended the plenary three times in four months. During the previous year, he led this same list with 68 absences, ie, he did not show up to 85% of the 80 sessions.

Without taking into account Esperanza G., the following seven assemblymen with more absences belong to the Alianza Pais party; the other three belong to Avanza, Pais-Movimiento Aut. Reg. And PSC-Madera de Guerrero.
