Manabi complaints by 14% VAT hike

Social networks were the scene of complaints through photos or comments, on the coharge of the increased value added tax (VAT) to local suppliers or people living in Manabi.

A user complained the charge of the new tax increase in Manta, through the invoice of a grocery store chain. The company in question that gave no statements until noon yesterday.

 

A user of this network said that only in cases where bills were issued through the RUC or companies, the 14% would be charged, but consumers who only gave their identity card number or asked their issuance as final consumer,  would not be charged. In this case the 2% return for the solidarity contribution would be included in the same bill.

In other cases, traders showed supplier invoices for poultry and soft drinks in which the 14% was charged.
