The resignation of the Vice President of the Republic, María Alejandra Vicuña,reopens the discussion within the Assembly on whether she should continue to receive a salary for life for having held the position. “I am preparing a scope of law, within the framework of what is stated in Article18 of the Civil Code, which is retroactive to the application of the rule,” said the legislator.

The assembly members of all the groups, including those of PAIS, agree that they should review this issue urgently. The Assembly knows the resignation
