Assemblyman Umajinga requested details of negotiations with the EU
Assemblyman Cesar Umajinga (Pachakutik Party), yesterday requested the attendance in the Committee on Food Sovereignty of the Assembly of three government authorities to explain the ongoing negotiation between Ecuador and the European Union (EU) for a Trade Agreement.
Francisco Rivadeneira, Minister of Commerce; Pabel Munoz, Senplades; and Andrés Ycaza, from the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property, were the authorities called by Umajinga.
Assemblyman further requests the texts proposed by the EU in Intellectual Property, Public Procurement, Services and Facilities, and what are the red lines proposed by the Government in this area.
Likewise, he also wants to know which criteria was used at the formation of the negotiating team and whether there has been a process of interaction between the group with social and political actors.
