Association of Electrical Engineers makes proposals after reform to the Telecommunications Act
The Association of Electrical and Electronic Engineers of Pichincha yesterday submitted its proposal to the Reform of the Telecommunications Act, which seeks to reduce the profits of the telephone company´s workers from 15% to 3%
Through a statement, the guild proposed that “a review of the balance, messaging and data rates is done with the intention to find a favorable solution for all users, as it will allow more citizens to be communicated, making other markets develop”.
The Association of Engineering, according to the statement, “is willing to find better alternatives than taking away from one sector to benefit those who need it more”.
Furthermore, it suggests that the balance is subsidized for the beneficiaries of the Human Development Bonus. This measure is proposed as this group would spend about USD 10 in prepaid system, and “most do it with the company that has more incomes (Claro)”, said among its remarks.
