Authorities Raised the Orange Alert on Ecuadorian Coasts

After INOCAR reported that the waves on the Ecuadorian coast would be up to 2 meters and a half high and not 4, the provincial Emergency Operations Committee (COE), held a meeting to determine whether to continue the ban on entering the sea and water activities.
Edgar Cordova, Governor of El Oro announced that the orange alert has been raised, the alert is now yellow on the coast of Ecuador.
The return of the 600 people evacuated from the islands of Jambelí, Pongalillo, Las Casitas Costa Rica, and Bellavista are already being arranged, but Cordova said that El Oro’s COE will keep watching constantly their shores.
