Bangladesh Shipwreck leaves two people dead

A passenger boat they were traveling about 250 people in the Padma river, passing through the center of Bangladesh, has foundered on Monday, leaving at least two people dead, officials said.
The Pinak-6 ship sank this morning (local time) when was traveling between the towns of Mawa and Kawrakandi due to strong currents, said the director of the Department of Traffic and Maritime Security, Safiqul Haque.
The deputy commissioner of the area where the shipwreck occurred, Saiful Hassan, said that for the moment were found two bodies and 44 survivors have been rescued, according to local newspaper The Daily Star
Firemen, Civil Defence and the Naval Force of the country have been sent by the authorities to conduct rescue work.
