The “My Safe Finance,” by Banco del Pichincha, is working on the installation of a personal chip debit cards instead of tapes, which will prevent card cloning.
On the other hand, their ATM will have protection to prevent copying of the key accounts when customers make a bank transaction and there will be a guard called “Super Lock agent” that will prevent the income to the ATM’s hard disk. In addition, a computer using software and hardware system will set an alert whenever there is an information leak.
Meanwhile, Banco de Guayaquil developed an e-mail service that informs, immediately, every withdrawal made at any ATM in the country and the exact time of the transaction.
Since January banks will incorporate electronic signatures in every online transaction. The system will not accept money orders, deposit or electronic payments, if not accompanied by the digital signature of the customer. It also control the cloning program websites of banks.
