Barcelona and Liga de Loja out of the Copa Sudamericana
After the triumph of Gremio against Barcelona Sporting Club last night in Brazil, Ecuadorian soccer team was left out of the Copa Sudamericana 2012.
The yellow team was defeated by 2-1 by Gremio, despite the poor performance of the locals. An auto-goal by Jose Luis Perlaza, at minute 66 and a free kick from Ze Roberto (90m) gave the victory to The Brazolian team.
In the beginning of the second half, Narciso Mina scored the first goal (54m), putting the visitors in advantage, however, a bad shot from Perlaza, made him scored an auto-goal . Then, a free kick from Zé Roberto at minute 90 gave the victory to Gremio.
Meanwhile, Liga de Loja also lost its chance for the quarterfinals of Copa Sudamericana after losing to Sao Paulo last night in a match that finished in a goalless tie.
Sao Paulo benefited with the tie of Ecuador, which helped it qualify for the Southamerican top eight stage.
