Barcelona’s Museum Makes Guayaquil Citizens Proud
We show some pictures of what was the opening ceremony of the new museum of Barcelona Sporting Club, which tells the story of this football institution since its inception and how it has become the pride of the city.
Mayor Jaime Nebot, life president of the sportinstitution, said: “This is the contribution that we are giving to the history of Guayaquil”, just in the month that Guayaquil celebrates it founding parties.
Barcelona’s president, Antonio Noboa, thanked the contributors who made this project possible and said the museum “will last a lifetime. The kids will be able to know Barcelona in a nicer way.”
The museum of this iconic team, located in the Astillero building, at Puerto Santa Ana, collects memories of the 88 years of history that has the current national football champion.
The access to the museum is free and because of its popular appeal; the City Hall will set up a website for people to separate their visits and avoid cluttering the place.
