Barcelona’s Triumph was Dedicated To deceased Fan

Antonio Noboa, president of Barcelona Sporting Club, wrote on his Twitter account: “This victory is dedicated to George Michael Murillo Leon, a fan of Barcelona, victim of violence … Justice for Michael”.

This morning, Ecuadorian Interior Minister, Jose Serrano, offered a reward of $ 5,000 to $ 20,000 to anyone who can provide information about the person who appears in the photograph, pointing a gun in the Unidad Nacional Bridge.

The reward was offered right after a crime was committed, yesterday, in Guayaquil, just hours before the game between Barcelona and Emelec when a group of Barcelona fans were crossing the bridge to go to the Monumental stadium and were attacked by gunfire by Emelec fans that were in a bus.

George Michael Murillo, 19, was killed by a gunshot to the head. He was taken to the Luis Vernaza Hospital, where he was pronounced brain dead, and around midnight he finally died. The victim’s wife is five months pregnant.
