Brahimi and Lavrov Agree that the Solution for Syria is not Military
The mediator of the UN, Lakhdar Brahimi, is now in Egypt looking for solutions with the delegations of Russia, China and the Arab League to put an end to the armed conflict in Syria despite the violent clashes between the rebels and the troops of the regime of the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
Brahimi along with the minister of foreign relations of Russia, Sergei Lavrov reunited in Cairo with the general of the Arab League, Nabil al Arab. Nabil informed through a press conference that so far no agreement has been reached regarding the civil war.
The three responsible of the resolution signed the past June in Geneva, where they support the creation of a transition Government. Brahimi asked that the declaration became a resolution of the Security Council of the UN so that a political project is made. AV
