Augusto Barrera changes Quito’s orange alert into a yellow one.
The mayor of Quito, Augusto Barrera, changed the orange alert in the capital into a yellow one due to the decrease in the intensity of wildfires.
Barrera said that the factors that influence the spread of fires have declined, and the moisture has increased.
In total so far 3,796 hectares have been affected in Quito, ie, 1% of the capital’s surface.
