Beach train will link 32 points on the Ecuadorian coast

The President of the Republic Lenin Moreno officially announced, this Tuesday, October 9, the construction of the Tren Playero during the speech commemorating the Independence of Guayaquil.
The project, which will boost tourism on the coast, will transport its passengers with air conditioner from Daule, Nobol, Guayaquil, Posorja, Playas and Engabao, in the province of Guayas. The tour continues in Santa Elena, in the point of Engunga, Chanduy, Atahualpa, Anconcito, Salinas, Libertad, Punta Blanca, San Pablo, Monteverde, Ayangue, Valdivia, Manglaralto, Montañita, Olón and La Rinconada.
The first point of Manabi will be in Ayampe, and then continue through Salango, Puerto Lopez, Los Frailes, Machalilla, Puerto Cayo, Tanusas, San Jose, San Lorenzo, San Mateo, Tarqui beach and Manta, which will be the last point. The train has the objective of promoting art, culture and gastronomy, commerce and fishing.
The President noted that during his administration, Guayaquil has received around 900 million dollars, 420 million for assignments, the opening of 28 works and started 14 new, in schools, culture, heritage, universities, police units and community policing. He said that last week the tender to build the Viaduct Sur, which will connect the seaport and the south of Guayaquil, which will be 44 kilometers, the longest in Ecuador, and generate 5,700 direct and 8,000 indirect jobs. In addition, he said that the construction of a technical institute specializing in port activities, foreign trade and tourism, which will begin next year, with an investment of 14 million dollars.
He underlined the accelerated recovery of the Locks in the Estero, the dredging of the Guayas River, and the deepwater port of Posorja, the delivery of 6 educational units, 700 university scholarships.
The First President praised the figure of the hero José Joaquín de Olmedo. “Historians say that his father, shortly before his death, would have told him that if independence came, he would not hesitate to take sides with her, but Olmedo did not wait for him to arrive, but set about building it.”
He said at the time of pointing out that “to govern is to build a future, where the foundations are our history and personal experience, and the bricks, the political, ethical and ideological formation”. He recalled that during an intervention at Harvard University he affirmed that he vibrated with the left and the struggle for equality, he felt the Cuban Revolution, he loved Ernesto el ‘Che’ Guevara, he read Rosa Luxemburg, Hegel, Lenin, Marx, Engels, Mao, Gramsci and bled with Allende.
However, the Head of State clarified that “each town has its particularities, its history, and identity.” So, socialism, we must reinvent it, day by day, understanding that-along the way-there are coincidences with other lines of thought do not be afraid of coincidences, as long as we do not lose sight of our principles: equity, inclusion, and respect for human rights.”
He considered that “being a businessman requires tenacity, study, creativity” and there are “the coincidences that we are currently potentizing: government-businessmen-citizens”, therefore, he argued that his Government “is a dialoguer, consensual and balanced: consider that the prudent is to produce with the right, and what is fair, to divide with the left, we do not start from an ideology.
In clear reference to the previous Government he again described him as corrupt, accumulator of powers, kidnapper, overlayer of crimes, disrespectful of human rights. “There were scoundrels who prostituted the terms, they betrayed an idealistic generation,” he said.
Moreno criticized that “they appropriated our most beloved words: revolution, socialism, left, partner, politics” and mentioned that harmony and respect have been restored. Moreno said he had given loans to young people for their projects, supporting work internships.
He also highlighted the permanent support to athletes, care for the elderly through bonuses and retirements, assistance to 70,000 people with disabilities and 250,000 patients with ‘Doctor of the neighborhood’, large seizures of drugs. He also stressed the generation of 380,000 labor contracts, adjustment of subsidies, reduction of 40 to 20 ministries and more than 480 works throughout the country for education, health, security and surveillance.
