Beauty Pageant in Ibarra has a new conflict with the candidates

The city of Ibarra faces a new scandal on beauty pageants, after the surprise resignation of Wendy Miranda Brito, designated as Miss Fellowship, a couple of days ago.

“I feel used… Last Thursday they call me to assist the next day to the Council meeting, to be present in the voting for the election… That day, half an hour before, they called me and told me not to go because the sesión was suspended. I was prepared with my makeup artists,” says Wendy.

On the other hand, Jose Moncayo, celebrations committee, said that Miranda would continue with her investiture until she presents a written excuse, while Lorena Pavon council secretary, said the councilors are not the jury, and therefore the designated candidates were not supposed to walk the  runway but be qualified by their abilities and achievement scores.

The problem started due the lack of candidates registered for the contest. A council committee decided to choose the representatives through secret ballot.
