Ken Norton, former heavyweight Boxing Champion, dies

Boxer Ken Norton, 70, considered one of the greatest heavyweights of his era, died on Wednesday due to a heart failure.

Norton was heavyweight world champion in 1977 and he became famous for a fight where he lost in 15 rounds against Larry Holmes; a lot of people believe that it was the fiercest fight in the history of heavyweights.

However, Ken Norton is best known for beating legendary Muhammad Ali in 1973, by breaking his jaw. The two giants fought a total of three times, with two wins from Ali.

Norton’s brilliant career ended with a record of 42 wins, seven losses, one tie and 33 knockouts. Then  he ventured into acting. He appeared in several films and was a boxing commentator.
