Berklee will give music lessons in the country for five days
Ecuadornews:
For the second consecutive year, the Berklee Music Institute will give workshops in Ecuador, as part of the Latin Berklee program, which runs through several countries in the region. As in 2016, the professors of that institution will give courses for a maximum of 100 people, at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ).
Deputy Director of Global Initiatives at Berklee Luis Santiago reported that four professors will give the lessons for one week, from November 8 to 12, 2017. “Theory, instrumental technique and improvisation will be taught in the morning. In the afternoon, students will be assigned to musical ensembles, after analyzing their knowledge.”
The call is open to anyone in the country, from the age of 15. The classes will be held from 10:00 to 17:00. Santiago calls it an “intense” program. There will be beginners, intermediate and advanced categories. (I)
