Last Sunday, The Miami Herald published the results of the autopsy of  late radio host, Betty Pino, which indicates that she died from complications during a cosmetic surgery, where doctors had to remove from her body the silicone injected four years ago.

The statement from the Department of Forensic Medicine of Miami-Dade, says that Pino, who died on August 7 at 65, “had placed hard plastic implants about 20 years ago to to enhance her buttocks. A decade later she changed them for saline implants. But the new ones ended up causing her problems, and about four years ago, Pino decided to inject silicone into the buttocks.

The following month, Pino was diagnosed with sepsis (her body began to gangrene.) The doctors had to amputate her hands and feet, but she was already in a coma.

Pino had “asked many doctors to remove the hardened tissue from her buttocks because it was too painful to sit. However, she did not find any doctor to accept to perform this procedure because everyone feared the risks and complications,” says the report.
