Copa Libertadores 2013
On Wednesday Boca Juniors drew 1-1 with defending champion Corinthians and left him behind, because in Buenos Aires it had won 1-0. The result is considered as surprise by some experts since Boca is going through a rough time in their soccer career and it’s rival was considered a favorite to repeat the title.
Another surprise was the elimination of Nacional de Uruguay, three times champion at the hands of the young Peruvian team, Real Garcilaso.
Next week the first games for the quarterfinals will be played with the following teams: Tijuana – Atletico Mineiro, Real Garcilaso – Independiente Santa Fe; Fluminense – Olympia, and Newells Old Boys – Boca Juniors.
