After two years of attempts and denials, and the effort from the Santos’ Football club to not let go of its star, Neymar, accepted the millionaire proposal from the Spanish team Barcelona; where he will be teammate with Messi on the next season, before a global expectation.

Neymar said it was difficult to make the decision of playing for Barcelona and reiterated he is very happy to join the Spanish team, but also a little sad to leave Santos, the team where he was formed and has defended for the last nine seasons.

“The feeling is of butterflies in the stomach, I’m still feeling them. I dream to play with stars, with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Daniel Alves and Adriano”, said Nymar in a statement to reporters at a promotional event in which he presented his new soccer boots.

Barcelona’s new hiring, who did not take questions from the press, also said his mission with Brazil is to “honor” the national team and make “proud” the Brazilian fans at the Confederations Cup, to be held in Brazil from the 15th to the 30th of June.
