Business associations in Brussels with President Rafael Correa
A group of businessmen traveled to Brussels with President Rafael Correa, to attend the meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the European Union (EU).
The three associations that accompany the president are: Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil, the Ecuadorian Consortium for Social Responsibility and the Federation of Exporters of Ecuador.
According to Juan Carlos Diaz, the reason to accompany Correa is to support the entry into force of the trade agreement with the EU. The union is convinced that the safeguards are not the best choice to withstand the external shocks.
The CELAC meeting will be held on 10 and 11 June, and this is its second summit, after the one that took place in Chile two years ago.
