Carolina Aguirre Perez: facets of Miss Ecuador

Carolina Aguirre Perez at age 19 has become a symbol of transcendence in Ecuador.

Miss Ecuador 2012, born in Guayaquil, has represented us with great pride, alonge with her 1.77 cm height and her sincere smile.

Carolina has a sweet personality and a warm voice that bursts with confidence.

This inspiring and humble woman managed to give us an exclusive brief interview, even when she had a busy schedule:

Did you ever imagine being the winner of the most important beauty contest in Ecuador?

Never imagined I would win the contest, it really was like a dream, I could not believe it.

What has changed in your life now that you are Miss Ecuador?

I feel I have been blessed, but I must admit it has been difficult because my life is run by the organizing committee of the event; it is difficult not to see my family as much as I wanted. But I point out the positive side and see all the opportunities that I have now to help the community.

Which people have supported you in your mission so far?

My family supports me a lot, specially my mother. I also have the support of my friends and the rest of Ecuador.

What do you hope to achieve in terms of objectives, as Miss Ecuador?

I hope to be always able to help the needy and that they realize I have them on my mind. I want people to remember me because of my labor and my work to help or support others. I will not rest in my mission. I am armed with love for my family and my country, and I have faith in their hearts.

We know you have a toned voice for singing, did you study in a conservatory or is it an innate ability?

Ever since I was little I was in conservatories and choruses, and I have always loved singing because of my mom. She sang whenever she could, still does, and I wanted to be just like her. Ever since I have memory, my mother has been my inspiration.

Ecuador Times readers want to know if you have a boyfriend, and if you do, is he also your support?

I do have one, “laughing”, and so far he has supported me unconditionally.
