Sharapova won her first Roland Garros

This afternoon, Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova was crowned champion of Roland Garros tournament after defeating Italian Sara Errani by 6-3, 6-2 in a match that last 89 minutes.
This is the first time that the young player wins the French Open, becoming the third Russian to win in Paris after Anastasia Myskina (2004) and Svetlana Kuznetsova (2009).
This is the title number 27 for the Russian tennis player, the third this year after Stuttgart and Rome. Thus, Sharapova is repositioned number one in the WTA ranking.
