CELAC aims to create a treatment protocol for Children in situations of risky migration
Representatives of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), who participated in the Third Meeting on Migration, held in Azogues (Ecuador), encouraged countries in the region to seek better conditions and more rights for migrants of the region living in the European Union (EU), while pursuing to create a treatment protocol for Children in situations of risky migration.
The forum urged the countries that receive minor immigrants to “fully respect their rights”, and “favor the interests of children”, says a document released by the meeting, spread by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, organizer of the appointment.
It is expected that by the 13 and 14th of November a dialogue on migration between the CELAC and the European Union is developed in Brussels, to deepen proposals and mechanisms that guarantee the rights of citizens in situations of human mobility.
