Celebrations on the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II Continue

1000 Boat-Parade at the Thames
Celebrations on the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II continued this Saturday with a popular lunch and after that one of the most important scheduled events was deployed with a fleet parade of 1.000 boats with the Queen herself leading along the Thames on a tour of eleven miles.
The queen was a board of “The Spirit of Chartwell” with her husband Prince Philip, 90 years, and other members of the royal family, among those were, heir to the throne, Prince Charles, and his elder son, Prince William with his wife Kate Middleton.
According to organizers, the parade today was the biggest one of the past 350 years since King Charles III and his consort Queen Catherine of Braganza made a similar show in 1662. (MZ)
