Paul McCartney will open the London 2012 Olympic Games

The 69-year-old singer confirmed Tuesday that he will be performing at the London 2012 Olympics July 27.

The native Brit and former Beatle admitted that “on certain occasions” he still gets nervous at performing.

According to the BBC, a total cast of 15,000 will take part in the Olympic opening ceremony next month, and it’s expected to be watched by 4 billion people worldwide. (MZ)
