Celebrities Joined to Fight Hunger in Somalia

Music, film and sports celebrities have joined to fight hunger in Somalia.

Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, David Beckham, U2, Eminem, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Kanye West, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, Elton John, Lewis Hamilton, Bruno Mars, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sting and many other, allied themselves with the initiative named “I’m Gonna Be Your Friend” by Save the Children Org., which strives to famine in Africa.

The NGO called this slogan, which began on Tuesday as a “social media campaign, innovative,” where participating artists posted on their Facebook pages and Twitter, a short film explaining the crisis.

Also, companies like Universal Music, Yahoo, AOL and YouTube, are supporting this initiative, which seeks to raise awareness not only the world’s population, but also raise money for food, water and medicines through the short paid downloads on iTunes or Facebook. (BG)
