Video Shows an Omitted Item of the Communication bill
During session 58 of the Occasional Communication Commission, held last July 27, revealed a video that shows that the complementary report of the Communication bill suffered a change because it did not include a proposal in article #18 which refers to the attributions of the Regulation Council.
The recording of the video was made public on August 8 by the Assemblyman Cesar Montufar who sent the video through an email sent to his colleagues and the press. The material showed how point #10 was omitted from the bill.
The approved text contained a quote that said that the council had the faculty of “creating or maintaining a record with information of the instruments of auto-regulation, direction and the positions of the public and private media. There is no way for this record to authorize or remove work authorization.”
However the report sent last week to the Assembly presidency did not contained the last part, “there is no way for this record to authorize or remove work authorization.” The suggestion to include this paragraph came from the Assembly official Betty Carrillo after gathering a proposal of the opposition.
