Cesar Montufar, leader of the Concertacion movement, in an interview with Expreso Newspaper, said he sees a convergence option towards a pluralist center with Guillermo Lasso, presidential candidate of the Creando Oportunidades Movement (CREO).
Montufar said he had held discussions with Lasso but he is not looking for specific candidates.
“We have also held discussions with the Ruptura movement. I even have a signed agreement with the Democratic Left, “said Montufar.
Montufar said his movement was out of the 2013 elections because on an illegal manner since it obtained legal status, “The CNE spent $ 5 million bringing Concertacion out of the elections.” (MZ)
